Hey there! I'm Aymanie Nelson, an experienced entrepreneur, hair professional, educator, and mentor with a passion for empowering others. With over 20 years in the hair industry and 13 years specializing in locs, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table. As the founder of Enerlocks, LLC and the creator of the groundbreaking Enerlocks locking tool, I've been at the forefront of revolutionizing how locticians approach their craft.
Throughout my journey, I've identified gaps within the hair industry that create barriers to success for locticians. Through extensive training, research, and personal growth, I've developed what I call the "loctician success trifecta." Now, through The Holistic Loc Academy, our training retreat academy, we're dedicated to nurturing mindful, holistic, and successful locticians by imparting the principles of this success trifecta. What is the training about?
The Holistic Loc Academy training is a week-long experience that provides you with every tool that you need to become a successful loctician and business owner.
All too often, newly trained locticians are only provided the technical skills to establish locs. What they need to know but aren’t taught are the skills to:
❌create a solid business structure
❌ to price their services competitively and lucratively
❌ market and advertise their services
❌ obtain and retain quality clients
❌ create excellent client experiences
Over the week, you’ll receive hands-on training on the three loc academy pillars — innerwork, business foundations, and locking techniques.
PILLAR #1:
INNERWORK
As a loctician, you demonstrate through your work how skilled you are. But, you also provide your clients with a peaceful and energetically balanced environment.
To do this, you need to be emotionally, physically, and spiritually well. The innerwork training will address:
✅ attracting abundance and prosperity in your business and personal lives
✅ creating and managing your self-care
✅ becoming a mindful loctician
✅ detoxifying the mind and body
PILLAR #2:
BUSINESS FOUNDATIONS
Where many new locticians are left to figure out business information on their own, the academy training offers a hands-on approach to helping you create your business. By the end of our business foundations workshops, you’ll:

✅ have the tools to create multiple streams of income
✅ be ready to start marketing your business and services
PILLAR #3:
LOCKING TECHNIQUES
Your goal, of course, is to become a loctician. You’ll learn all of the elements required to perform a successful loc establishment to include information on:
✅ conducting effective discovery calls and consultations
✅ creating loc grids
✅ analyzing hair textures and curl patterns
✅ selecting appropriate locking patterns
✅ starting, maintaining, and repairing locs
✅ installing loc extensions
✅ calculating prices for your services
✅ proper hair practice sanitation
